ClipIt and its developers take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect
ClipIt uses third-party services that may collect certain information to provide analytics, crash reporting, and advertising measurement. The data collected may include:
• Device Identifiers (IDFA): With your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we collect your device's advertising identifier to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. You may decline this request at any time in your device's Privacy & Security settings.
• Usage Data: We collect anonymized information about how you interact with the app (e.g., features used, session frequency) to improve the product experience.
• Purchase History: We record subscription and purchase events (e.g., trial starts, renewals) for analytics and to verify your subscription status.
• Crash and Diagnostic Data: We collect crash reports and performance data to identify and fix technical issues.
2. Third-Party Services
ClipIt uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google): Used for usage analytics and crash reporting.
• Google Ads / SKAdNetwork: Used to measure the performance of advertising campaigns. Conversion events (such as subscription starts) may be reported to Google in an aggregated, privacy-preserving manner via Apple's SKAdNetwork framework.
3. How We Use Your Data
Data collected is used solely to:
• Maintain core app functionality and verify subscription status
• Improve the app based on usage patterns
• Detect and fix crashes and technical issues
• Measure the effectiveness of our advertising (with your ATT consent)
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any information that directly identifies you. We do not sell your data to third parties.
5. Your Choices
You can withdraw your advertising tracking consent at any time by going to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone and disabling tracking for ClipIt. This will not affect your ability to use the app or your subscription.
